Instructions
- Beat together the melted butter, sugar and egg in a large bowl, until light and fluffy.
- Fold in the apples and walnuts (if using).
- In a separate bowl, add flour, salt, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and cinnamon and run a hand whisk through (hack instead of sifting).
- Stir this ‘dry’ mix into the ‘wet’ mix, until just blended.
- Spread batter evenly in baking dish and bake in a preheated oven 180°C for 25 mins or until pale golden with the edges coming away from the sides of the tin.
- Serve as they are or with a scoop of ice cream. Delicious hot or cold!
