We know from our regular evaluations that what we do is making a real difference.

Many of the schools we serve are in the lowest economic areas of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, where childhood obesity rates tend to be higher than the national average and families face significant challenges. These are complex issues – and they matter deeply to us.

By providing regular access to fresh, healthy produce and creating space for conversation, encouragement and education, we are part of a much wider movement working towards lasting change.

Our market stall approach allows us to engage directly with parents and children – chatting about recipes, sharing ideas and building confidence around cooking with fresh ingredients.

The food is the starting point; the real impact is the cultural shift we help nurture in schools and homes each week.

We see it in the small but powerful moments -children asking for fruit while they queue, families trying new recipes, parents growing in confidence. If we can help families eat more healthily at home, then we are making a difference. The statistics below help tell that story.

“What an amazing scheme! I collected my fresh produce for the first time today and think it’s absolutely brilliant! My boys can’t wait to get cooking 😊 thank you!”

Vikki Grace

“My youngest would only eat dry food like nuggets, mash, sweetcorn, fish and chips. He now eats a large range of foods. He loved the spicy chicken and sausage casserole today at school. We now cook as a family instead of different meals for each child. We now make our own sauces and soups. He came home from school today and told his Dad I love Sally’s recipes, they are tasty!”

Sarah Adams

The quality of the fruit and veg is far superior to the supermarkets and encourages us to eat more fruit.”-
