French Toast Sarnie – Eggy Bread


  1. Beat the eggs in a wide bowl and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Dip your bread into the bowl pressing down so it soaks up plenty of the mixture, then lay the slices out onto a plate.
  3. Add a slice of ham and some grated cheese to two of the slices, spreading the mustard on the other two. Then put them together (mustard side on top of cheese) to make a sandwich.
  4. Melt the butter in a frying pan and add your sandwich. Cook until golden brown, 2 or 3 mins, then turn and repeat on the other side.
  5. To finish, grate a little more cheese on top of your sandwich and grill to melt. Yum!


3 medium eggs

4 slices of bread

2 slices of ham

60g grated cheese

1 tbsp mustard

25g butter

salt & pepper
